A catch-all e-mailbox is one that captures all the emails sent to invalid email addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone mistypes it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Just one single mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and thus you will never miss messages because the other side has an obsolete address or has made a spelling error. The negative aspect of using a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving a lot of spam emails, but this problem can be rectified using an anti-spam protection solution. It is also vital to bear in mind that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot forward inbound email messages to a third-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting

If you host a domain name on our cloud platform and you have a shared web hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all feature for any email mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel includes quite a lot of functions, but it’s amazingly easy to use, so creating a catch-all mailbox takes only a mouse click. All the email addresses that you have will be listed in this section in alphabetical order and you will just need to click the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the specific email address. Our system will warn you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either disable the latter feature or select another mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as easy and takes yet another mouse click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all email address can be created with a couple of mouse clicks in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated hosting service with our company. The semi-dedicated hosting account will be administered via our custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will be able to create mailboxes using any domain name hosted here. To enable the catch-all feature for a particular mailbox, you’ll need to click the logo with the same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox. Disabling this option can be accomplished in the same way and will not require more than one click either. In case the catch-all functionality has already been enabled for a given domain, you will receive a warning notification. The same goes if the mailbox that you want to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never replace or deactivate any feature automatically.
